Whatever Adams said, I highly doubt he ever thought about throwing hands with Shannon. It would've been barking about nothing. If someone is trying to push you back like that trainer did, you're naturally going to put up some resistance. It's not always a pretend hold me back sort of thing. I refuse to believe anyone is serious about Adams being scared of him. It's one of the most ridiculous yet fitting reflections of this board.

You can clearly see from his initial body language he's trying to stop it from escalating. If he really want to take it there he would've went right up into Shannon's personal space from the get-go. Once he saw that Shannon wasn't going to stop yapping at Brooks, that's when his demeanor changed. Regardless of all that, with all the physical confrontations he's had in the league with cats much bigger and in better condition (speaking in terms of being able to handle themselves) than unc, what makes you believe he had inhibitions of taking it further?
