I mean is anyone playing under 60 games getting these awards anyways? Anyone got receipts?

Ja won MIP last season and he only played 57 games

Ja, KD & Bron all made All-NBA last season even though they all played less than 60 games, though not sure if that would count

There’s financial incentive tied to All NBA and other major awards, so it all counts as well.

I mean alot of our jobs require a certain amount of hours to receive this or that benefit. So I'm not about to complain about guys getting paid millions to put in certain hours for awards. I'm pretty sure the number they come up with will be reasonable. Its not like they gonna say you have to play 80 lol. They still get paid for being injured, these are just extra things

Assuming the number gonna be high like 72+ games or something. They want to limit players sitting down. If you sitting down for load management while healthy it’s gonna be tough If you get hurt down the line because those games you missed earlier can automatically take you out of major award competition.

Imagine dominating 62 games. Instead of sitting on a back 2 back with a nagging injury you get hurt

End up out the remaining 20 games losing your award :wow:

This is disingenuous. You aren’t putting in nearly as much time “off the clock” or working as hard

Above the fray.
There is a minimum of something like 58 games for the "stat" awards, which is why LeBron wasn't eligible for the scoring title last year having only played in 56 games.

But there's no official number for the voted awards, it's basically just up to the voters whether they'll disqualify someone for not playing enough games. .
Ok, thanks.
Seems aimed directly at load management of the top two tiers of players

Bro in not talking about players getting paid they salary. That would be hating. We are talking about a player receiving awards over players who play more games. Its nothing wrong with rewarding those players. And you dont know my work history. I was in the Marines 8 years in infantry. People who play sports do not work harder than infantry. You dont get off days unless you are really injured. You dont know anything about how hard I work or what I do for a living lol
