I didn't expect him to come back because of the report I read where they said they ran out of money to shoot the scene where he dies, so they just cut away with a gunshot noise instead.

My bad, it wasn't money. Their filming permit ran out. Here's what I posted earlier in this thread:

Chatwin's character, Jimmy, split most of his screen time last year between the Gallaghers and his secret wife, Estefania, who happened to be the daughter of a Brazilian drug lord. After she was deported, Jimmy was last seen being forced onto a yacht fearing for his life. While the script had Jimmy being gunned down on the boat, Wells revealed the filming permit for the dock expired before the scene could be completed. ()

They did leave the possibility of him coming back in this same report, though

"But actually now it's kind of cool because we don't have to have him die that way," Wells said. "We've been talking about having the recaps every week [next season] have a different way that he died." A statement released by Showtime echoes that possibility, noting that Chatwin "will not be coming back as a series regular, but there is a possibility of him coming back in future episodes in some manner." After the panel concluded, Wells told TV Guide Magazine, "We'll just wait and see if we come up with a story that works or is interesting, but we haven't yet. As of right now, we're done."

I thought the story was that their permit for shooting on that day, at that spot expired or some shyt and that was why they couldn't shoot JimmySteve's death scene.

I just assumed their neighborhood was just full of white trash. But I am not from chi town so I don't know how real that is.

I don't it's the Gallagher's don't have many black friends. I think the Gallagher's don't really have friends in general. Look at Mandy, she has a black boyfriend. And there normally are black people all around the bar and places throughout the city on the show. The Gallagher's mostly just kick it with each other.

shyt there ain't even a lot of black people period

maybe they are in the irish part of town or something. some hoods are still segregated a little

but i find it hard to believe these fools are in southside of chicago and you rarely even see black people walking around the city
