Only people that get confused are the are the ones who tried to “choose” the cac side and found out the hard way. Never happens to the biracial people who accept their black side.

-I wouldn't say the ones who "choose" that side. The ones who were raised by their white parent don't generally have a choice until later

It happens to all of them at some point. Some just deal with it better.

-No it doesn't. The ones I know that grew up with Black people were all thrown into the "light skin" category & were always treated as such, including my kids. It also can make a difference between the mom or dad being the Black parent.
