I think he meant more so growing up. His father was in prison so he was raised primarily by his white mother.


Once he grew up and hit Young & The Restless his status amongst black people, especially black women, soared.

Sounds like his mother was the source of the problem. Why they gotta move everywhere to escape racism? Why couldn't they just live in a black area of whatever country they live in?

I can only imagine (his situation) but black women used to love this man. Gen X Denzel. On the show S.W.A.T. he has two black parents and a black wife and always repping black issues.
