I think she is one of the few Melaninated women who GENUINELY have love for Melaninated men.

However,

I have an issue with the statement in the thread title, "Every time you let your woman off the hook, she loses respect for you."

First, I don't believe that the women she spoke about in that statement had respect for their men to boot!

Next, how does one 'loses' respect for someone? You either respect someone or lose respect for someone.

Respect isn't something you use like a thermostat. But, you first have to respect someone in order to take it away and I don't believe the women she talked about had it for their men!

Why would anyone who so called respect you going to challenge you let alone put you through any changes?

To get down to brass tax, the women she talked about did not come into the relationship in good faith nor were they mentally and emotionally prepared to take on a huge responsibility as a dutiful wife/companion!

Before anyone agrees to entering into a relationship, all the bullshyt should have been nipped in the bud!

The foundation has to be set. Parameters and boundaries with each other need to be set!

When it comes to respect, there is no such thing as a collective bargaining agreement! It is non negotiable!

A woman who is worth a damn know the bidness!

You don't play with people's emotions and expect a favorable outcome!

This is a simplistic example, but the food argument in the car. You're both hungry and going back and forth about what you want or don't want. She says you pick. So you say the diner. She doesn't like it. The burgers are too expensive now, they changed the menu and took off her typical go to meal. So now you're like well if you don't want that then what do you want, and she's still on the I don't know thing. So you say fukk it, diner it is because we're not going to keep doing this, "What do you want? I don't know. What do you want?" dance. If she doesn't like it then she doesn't have to eat. You tried to be diplomatic. She couldn't make up her mind. So you make it up for her, make the judgement call, and stick to that decision.
