The comment section ate her ass up, she had to post this to give full context.
Timing is the issue. She admits she smoked, and therefore had the banned system in her blood, right before her qualifying race. Because she had the substance in her system, she has to give up her times. If she had smoked a few days earlier, she may have been in the clear.
This whole thing reeks of Americans thinking they are special, and the rules don't apply to us. If this was someone from some 3rd world countey, no one would give a damn.
That being said, the rules should be changed.
Really? Saying she should be allowed to compete in spite of violations is entitlement. You’re contradicting yourself. No offense.
You saying that the rules should be changed is essentially the exact American entitlement that you’re talking about.
Really? Saying she should be allowed to compete in spite of violations is entitlement.
How is lobbying to change the rules entitlement? The WADA can tell the US to fukk off.
Boycotting or otherwise forcing the issue would be entitlement as well.
I mean... The rules are the rules.Biden could have just not said shyt.... just like he disrespects black people in general and avoids all real issues....
Yet he took time to mention this sister
Yeah....I mean... The rules are the rules.
Weed illegal in JapanThree things can be true here..
1). Her smoking weed was a reckless and irresponsible thing to do given the clear rules of the Olympic committee
2). Her taking accountability and owning up to the fact that her mother’s passing put her in a dark place emotionally and mentally can and should afford her a modicum of public empathy.
3). The rules regarding weed are draconian and laughably out of date and should be changed.
The young girl took CLEAR accountability for her actions. She didn’t lay blame or juelz or blame it on the bullshyt rules. She said it was 100% her fault and her own doing. I personally believe that her accountability and explanation should indeed afford her a level of public empathy and understanding. Meaning that this should be treated as an ISOLATED incident of an otherwise unproblematic athlete who went through a very personal tragedy during an EXTREMELY public time in her life. I mean for Allah’s sake she learned about her mother’s passing from a fukking reporter. Thats traumatic in and of itself.
She should serve her month long suspicion and be allowed to move on and compete in the 2024 Olympic games. And in the interim there needs to be a push to remove Marijuana from the banned substance list. Marijuana doesn’t make an athlete faster, stronger, or more capable of jumping, catching, shooting, throwing or anything else.
I feel like this is simply common sense. Calling her a bird brain or ratchet or ghetto or anything else is just trying to twist the knife whilst the young woman is going through a trying period. Who gives a fukk how she wears her hair and nails? Dennis muthafukking Rodman was out there in the 90’s dressing in full on drag and making out with Rupaul. But he was a rebounding God and collected them championship rings. Prince wore assless pants and pranced around stage winking at dudes whilst portraying himself as androgynous as possible. But he kept releasing classic music. Young Thug wore a dress on his album cover and has stans right here on these boards who swear he’s the most influential artist who ever walked the earth. Kid Cudi wore a dress on SNL and stans said he was paying homage to a dead bi-sexual white guy. If this girl wants to wear long colorful weave and lacquered nails then fukk it. Thats the world we live in now, a world where dudes can be as flamboyant as they want and get every pass in the book. She’s just as dominant in HER profession as any of those other guys are in there’s. Her hair and nails are separate from the weed issue
Yeah....
Why would a old white supremacist who avoids real black topics associated with his actual job ..
Even mention this
There's no need to be mad at her... she messed up.You're looking for something that isn't there bruh.
People are looking for someone to be mad at except her.
