To clarify, I didn't say I can't call him a good wrestler just because of this spot, but this is the type of shyt Seth keeps pushing on his matches: high spots that make little to no sense to get a pop from the crowd. That kind of stuff is fine, and there's no doubt it's effective with the live audience. But I have an issue when dude can't work a shine or a control segment to safe his life and relies more and more in this retarded shyt to get people interested in his matches. And he keeps doing these sequences that come of as completely choreographed (I blame Okada making people think everyone could pull those types of sequences off, when not even him can do it convincingly all the time). That might be fun to watch from time to time - specially on sprints, which Seth, sadly, rarely has - but it's not close to what I see as top level wrestling
RE: selling in general. I completely agree, it's become a lost art of sorts to find good, consistent selling. But I also think current wrestling makes it almost impossible for wrestlers to do a credible job when their leg is being worked on. The most effective stuff I've seen lately are from guys like Nomura and Hashimoto, who at least make it very clear it hurts like a motherfukker to use it, I wish more people would do that tbh.
