I don't think it's the same as having nieces or nephews. There's no way to say this without it sounding fukked up but while I love my nieces and nephews.... There's a different level of love for my kid just because I've been there for damn near everything with him.

With that said, I think it's selfish to pressure people who want kids into having one, and I think it's selfish to have a kid in the expectation that they'll labor for their parents when they're old and sick (seriously fukked up) and I think it's selfish to have a kid without fully assessing whether one wants one or is ready for it. Different strokes for different folks, find what makes you happy and don't let anyone pressure you into doing anything else.

Of course but what would happen if you got a divorce? Would you still be able to exercise as much influence on your child?

He seemed like he was really trying to convince everyone. Don’t care what anyone says. His wife wants kids. Are you kidding me, they are rich as fukk, they can have kids.

Either they can’t have kids, or she is lying. Either way. I’m fine with it, one less child of the synagogue of satan will be born.

There are women that don't want kids, you know that right

It's not only about having a good time either.

Professionally, I deal with somebody who loves their kids but hates the fact people like me have so much time to go out there and level up exponentially more career-wise.

Like dude is straight up jealous he got to go watch his kids while I can go learn about the next tech wave and get more prepared for the next big job.

Everyone's situation is massively different. You have to really weigh your options when it comes to your time and goals.

All he had to do was keep it a brick and say that me and my wife would make shytty parents, and he wouldn’t have received any backlash. Matter of fact, he would have received kudos for being self aware and honest

you know having kids aint shyt when every time this subject comes up people with kids say...
"what about when youre old...whose going to take care of you!?:sadcam:"

breh odds are youre going to die from some freak accident...
..or your kids arent going to want to take care of your ass.

People that dont have kids have more money than parents so they're better prepared for old age.

Men without kids can scratch the children itch via single mommas...
...you can play with their kids, eat the food paid for via child support, fukk and then go home to sleep in a quiet bed

i don’t have an issue with people not wanting children, but claiming that you don’t want kids because of “how fukked up society is now” always sounded like complete bullshyt to me lol.
It’s one of the main reasons me and my lady have decided not to. There has never been a “perfect” time to have children but COVID has definitely solidified many reasons not to right now.

Add social media, climate change, mass shootings amongst other things, it almost feels like bringing a child into a war zone.

I’m in my mid 30s but getting a vasectomy is becoming more and more ideal as I get older. The only reason I haven’t yet is because there may be a small chance I could change my mind as I get older. Nothing is ever truly set in stone.

But for now, dual income with no parental responsibilities is pretty sweet for us.
