How this topic always breaks down on thecoli:
1.) Most coli brehs with kids: Talk about how it's the most challenging and rewarding thing they've ever done. Wouldn't trade it for the world etc.
2.) Some coli brehs with kids: Express some regrets, wonder what could have been in their career / creative outlets if they didn't make the necessary monetary / time sacrifices that kids require.
3.) Vocal minority of coli brehs with kids: It's a moral imperative for men to have kids, not having kids is some indictment on your manhood. Plus who will take care of you?
1.) Most coli brehs without kids: Didn't want to bring kids into an uncertain world that oppresses black people. Enjoy the extra time / money. Not losing sleep over it, anyone can have a kid.
2.) Some coli brehs without kids: Act like it's a bold and radical decision to not have kids, when 40% of men don't. Shames the coli brehs not currently with the mother of their kids.
3.) Vocal minority of coli brehs without kids: You shouldn't have kids unless you make a certain amount of money. Most of the people with kids ain't ish (but I would be better IF I had kids *wink wink*)
Then after pages and pages, everyone comes to the light consensus that if you want kids - have them. If you don't, don't. Then the thread dies. It's tired. More tired than the gender wars.
