I swear everything is cooked.

Movies
Me and my girl went to the movies when Alien Romulus came out, it had been a minute since we saw a movie on the big screen.
Mind you, we went to a basic ass local theater, no IMAX 3D MULTIPLEX bullsh*t, and man...them prices was wild. :dead:

Theater was 80% empty when we went, which was cool for us, small theater, and it just didn't justify the prices for a bottle of water and some basic popcorn.

The whole thing just reminded me to just wait until the movie comes out on a streaming platform :dead:

I think overall things just seem lifeless. There hasn’t really been anything new and exciting that the majority of the country has rallied around. I blame the internet for that shyt. It created silo’s. It’s the reason there hasn’t been a rap megastar in who knows how long. It’s not just older people that feel like that too. The suicide and depression rates amongst teens and people in their 20’s has skyrocketed. All they do is act like nothing matters.

See this what the fukk I’m talking about. Theatres were a big part of the dating game. Now that shyt is about to go the way of the dinosaur with the crazy ass prices. I don’t blame you buying some skinny pop and watching shyt at home.

My wife’s niece is 15 she cuts herself on a regular basis. Just last summer she was in the hospital for that shyt.

There are literally fukkin aliens outside your window at night and people are like :yeshrug:, government is like, it’s nothing… back to work.

I’m sick of the planet. Get me off.

No one gives a fukk wasn’t it like 88 million people that didn’t vote in this election?

the dualistic forces of corporations and politicians crashin' through the culture with capitalist appetite

I don't think capitalism is itself a bad thing, but it's been givin' a bad reputation by the forces above.
Not to mention the morally compromised laypeople thinking they gotta play the game.
Call it hyper capitalism.
Call it late-stage capitalism.
Call it what you wanna, but this what happen when narcissists and God-complex havin' people agree and empower themselves and each other to eat, piss and shyt all over the human condition for...

This theater is really close to us, we even considered making it a thing, just catch a movie every month on the big screen, but having to pay $9.50 for a small popcorn is criminal, it's a matter of principle really, we both work and have the money but it's just not right.

I here you 9.50 doesn’t sound as crazy as 12 dollars for popcorn in Canada.

Movie theaters make their money in with the drinks and the foods and only make money from the movies after a certain amount of time.
