Everybody knows this, they just like to play stupid with us. You can tell bc the same thread about, say, Chinese- Jamaicans would be full of people telling us how we just don't 'get it.'

White supremacist talking points in the cloak of pan- Africanism. Nasty work.

I don't get why everyone jumps to conclusions. Just because you're aware or accepting of this doesn't mean that you want to be white. It doesn't mean you have this Stephenesque (from Django) love of white folks. It's just really stating the obvious. For the most part we both observe the same 5 pillars of American culture

Nope. None of that matters, again, when it comes to us.

Meanwhile, tell an Afro-Brit they're not really British and see what happens, and they just got there a few generations ago at most. :mjlol:

Black Americans got more in common with White Americans than anyone on the African continent whether we like it or not. Naturally, you would and should share more with others in the same nation that you live in. It's what it is.

it’s not just us

you’d be silly to tell a
mangu in the morning eating-
baseball playing-
bachata dancing-
dominos playing

black dominican that he has more in common with a breh in africa than he does with his non black countryman because “they both black”

What about America-Liberians? Sierra Leone creoles?

Americo Liberians? They went to Liberia and promptly did to the native populations what America did to them. Hell they didn't even have a native born president for over 130 years until Samuel Doe overthrew Willam Tolbert in 1980.

Eh, Americo-Liberians were not *really* Black Americans. Many were mulattos and either never enslaved or free for several generations.

That's irrelevant. Their entire cultural identity was shaped by the American experience.

You telling me this brotha right here...The second president of Liberia Stephen Allen Benson, born in Maryland isn't *Really* black?

Or this man Edward James Roye...The fifth president of liberia born in Newark, Ohio isn't a "Black american"?

Mulatoos are FBA. Most FBA have mulatoo our lineage. You are correct though Liberia had Caribbean’s as well
