Kobe from 05-07 had a mid range, deep ball, post game, strong enough to drive & was still freakishly athletic; the best scorer outside of Jordan & that's debatable. Bron would look foolish out there. Kobe has never been able to guard all 5 positions on the floor. Kobe could never do some of the things that Lebron does defensively, and leadership is part of that. Leadership is 1 of the main reasons that Lebron is a great defender ala Garnett. Kobe has never been a leader on defense. Kobe in his prime was a real good defender, especially in spurts. He simply wasn't as versatile nor did he ever have as much responsibility defensively as Lebron currently does. Again, the man can legitimately guard all 5 positions out there on the court. Prime Kobe wouldn't have been able to guard Garnett this year and he wouldn't have bweb able to guard Rose last year. This is just my opinion of course.
