Not enough to really go on, and local news are infamous for tying stories together for ratings and clicks. One could be a drug overdose. And audiences will eat it up about locking their doors and killers on the loose, and by next week, will be on to the next sensationalized story.

but, two women same age, looks like maybe similar occupations, maybe same social scenes, same race, same proximity with two weeks is maybe a pattern.

anyone in LA that age, claiming model, (that's just local news styled reporting) you have to look hard at, hardly any of those women/men make any money. The agencies are notoriously predatory, and they take a cut, and you work job to job, for not much money.

apparently, one's sister was Guyana based pop star.

This kind of reporting is so useless, misleading, it's so blatant. But, lets just say there were killed by the same person, for an exercise:

if it is a killer, may be looking at someone using dating apps to find victims, that would explain the two similar victims, same age, same look, same race, within a block of each other----

in that case, expect the killer to be of some social standing/ or able to present himself as such, to gain access to these women's apartments, or present himself in an alluring way online, these women aren't going out with someone who is half drunk and wandering around downtown LA homeless.

since both murders occurred in the victims home, this was someone they let in, or lived in close proximity too. a neighbor? But, how do you explain both killings? Look at possible temp employees of the buildings, who had access. Cleaning crew guys, who do luxury buildings in the area.

Look at the victims, was there something that would put them close to potentially dangerous people? Your home is the most intimate place you can be murdered. Your bedroom is even more intimate. Usually suggests inter partner violence.

Those buildings usually have good enough security, locked doors, plenty of cameras, elevator won't go unless you have a code, or key fob.

Typical lower tier local news site reporting, or like the Post, just sensationalist

They link stories together to lead with a narrative like "Will killer in downtown LA strike again" the sub text is (you may be next)

which gets more reactions and so on and so on. Local News is still profitable, but the lack of depth in reporting and the hidden hand behind it, that comes up with these two headlines.

The Times would lead with something like "Investigators probe two deaths of professional women in downtown LA"
