Sergey Kovalev is making Adonis increasingly irrelevant without having thrown one punch.

And Stevenson was relevant for throwing one punch.

I don't think these fighters really understood how much of a gamble they were taking putting their careers in Haymon's hands.

I think Haymon is great at what he does, but every manager is not right for every fighter. Just because a manager is hot, doesn't mean it's the right fit for your career.

Stevenson's career was being managed beautifully before he got with Haymon. It was the best year of his career. Now look at him. He's missed a payday against Hopkins. He's gonna miss another nice payday against Pascal. Kovalev is over here taking the best fighters available, making this money, & the perception is he's the man of the division while the "linear" champion is on the sidelines rambling through the media.

Due to his age, he really needs to be active. Ever since he got that contract, he's been slipping. There is a real possibility he could lose to an inferior fighter before he ever has the chance to fight Kovalev.

He beat Cloud after he was thoroughly beaten by Bernard Hopkins and then went on to get KO'd in his last fight now losing 3 in a row, including the loss to Stevenson. Stevenson also beat Dawson after he was destroyed and quit against Ward and Dawson JUST lost to a nurse making him 1-3 in his last 4 fights, including the loss to Stevenson


Stevenson struggled heavily with Fonfara and that's all we have to go on as far as recently because his 2nd "BIGGEST" win on his resume is Tony Bellew after beating a shot Chad Dawson























With all that being said, Im still not really sure on who beats whom between Stevenson/Kovalev. Im still going back and forth on that

Adonis was coming off a major year in 2013 and basically squandered that momentum in 2014.
