I was in Reno, I was 9 years old about to go to school when I saw it on the news. We talked about it all day in class.

I was 24 working nights. At the time I was hard timing it. Living in the hood with no car, so I used to ride my bike to the Chicken Plant where I worked. I had just gotten my first computer maybe a month before it happened, so I got home to logon and check the Wrestling E-Fed I was running and seen the news on the message board. Turned on the TV, but didn't really realize the impact it would have on our society and culture.

I was in Norfolk. Man we thought it was a movie until the second tower got hit. a bunch of ships started getting underway in the chesapeake because they thought it was going to be another Pearl Harbor. Senior Chief Stemen ran to the armory and started handing out weapons. man that day was crazy. tragedy man. when I came in, we stood watch in our uniform, no weapons or nothing. after that we went port and starboard with watch, fully armed just like that. trip

As soon as it happened he was going on a rant about how it was the democratic front of the liberation of Palestine :mjlol:

I was in my 8th grade history class ironically. We got the news as a pa accouncement saying that a national tragedy happened. My teacher turned on the television and we watched as the 2nd plane hit the towers. After the 2nd plane hit I think everyone knew it was an attack at that point. It was utterly shocking and left a permanent imprint on our nations collective conscious. Its weird but it was actually as if just watching it unfold live on tv was just as traumatizing as seeing it in person. I had dreams about hearing the sirens and being enveloped in a cloud of ash and debris for months afterward.
When people say the country was never the same afterwards they're not bullshytting. It showed each and everyone of us how vulnerable we are as citizens.

It was primary day in NYC my mom went to vote at 7am I went back to sleep then sirens and fire trucks kept coming at first I thought nothing it was normal shyt, then I turned on the tv the Ananda Lweis show was on then WPIX cut to breaking news this station never cuts to breaking news unless it's big and then I seen the North Tower :ohhh: fire trucks kept coming so I went out to the terrace and I see them coming from the Bronx lots of them. I quickly woke up my brother and told him what just happened. We lived in a high rise complex right in the path of LaGuardia airport we started calling everyone we knew inside the complex everyone was:sadcam: and then we seen the second plane hit that's when we all knew iwithout any doubt we where under attack. My aunt calls screaming because my uncle had to down in that area for some business but he made it back ok he said as soon as he got out of the subway it was right after the 1st plane hit and he immediately went back into the subway to take the 2 train back uptown but they stopped the train at 96 street so he walked all the way to my grandmother's house.

It was scary brehs real scary I called down to my boy who lived in the projects by the Brooklyn bridge then the phone cut off before an answer the South Tower collapsed all you seen was lower Manhattan covered in smoke I thought to myself my breh is gone. Turns out he was ok he was taking his sister to school and seen the whole thing he was on the roof with others and watched when the towers fell everyone ran inside but it was pitch black nobody could see for a few minutes.

I didn't eat or sleep for the rest of the week.
