thing is...in 2014 it is really easy to generate your own wealth.
its all a mindset. You can teach yourself anything, and learn about anything almost for free. You dont need a college education.

People who are poor tend to not focus on growing their worth.
Rich people read more, spend more money on self education, and obsess about money.

Its only natural that the rich get richer...its because they have the knowledge to create more systems to make more money.
Its like being surprised people in a gym stay in shape, while the average person in this country is fat.

Also...the bottom is pretty high in this country.
The poor in 1940 lived a much different life than the poor in 2014.
No doubt. So what investments should I look into? I would like some blue chips.

Meh, is there really? What if the income of the rich is simply growing faster than that of the lower classes? Does that really make it unequal? I mean, just because one group is growing doesn't mean that it has to absolutely be at the expense of the other. Could I say that the rich making gains quicker than everyone else is actually a good thing because it benefits everyone, or is that some sacrilegious pro-conservative talking point with too many holes to be taken seriously because of a few errors and misguided politicians? When the economy is not going so well, we always look for scapegoats. The U.S. economy is slow, but it's not like the economies in these other countries who supposedly have better income equality are booming either. Many of them have been stagnant for some time and face the same problems we do. I'm not sayin, I'm just sayin. :yeshrug:

but thats exactly what we have, one group of people thriving at the expense of several others.

Wouldnt go into stocks w/o a ton of research.
But if youre really interested....www.tastytrade.com does a decent job of talking about stocks. They focus on options. I personally dont see myself ever fukking w/ stocks like that. Unless you have time to pour over a companies reports, its a losing battle IMO.

IMO the quickest and best way would be to start your own business.
It doesnt have to be brick and mortar (very old school and expensive). Could be eCommerce, a stand in the mall, affiliate work...basically anything you can scale.

or...real estate.
Most money is made in real estate. I personally think multi unit apartment buildings are the way (once I get enough capital im going to try my hand at it).
I forgot the name of the program...but first time home buyers can buy a building and only put down like 3%-4% as long as you live in the building for 12 months (its also much easier to get a loan for investment property as opposed to a personal buy). Could live rent free (your tenets would pay your mortgage), and then build on that as time goes on.

A new career? If I could start over, I would go into sales after highschool. Would learn how to be a great salesman...if you can sell, youll never go hungry.

@jilla82 I already invest, I was just asking to see if you are living what you preach. I see you are a person who thinks they are different from others, and like those with money. I've dealt with many people like this. they think I'm broke or dumb, and talk about how easy things are, then when you hear their plans or who they experienced having money, they don't have any or at least that will work, and they just know the people in passing if any at all. There is the real world, and the version tv tells you. Trust me, the real rich motherfukkers will eat you alive, if you don't know how to play the money game.

BTW, getting your own business, is not a quick way to get rich. In fact most people who have their own business lose it within 5-10 years because they think this very thing. They get money, spend it, and forget you need to reinvest it back into the business. Hustlers make the same mistake. Most of the time you only make a lot of money when you sell your business, after you built it up. But this is when you have physical real estate because you can sell the land. Very few business's actually sell their business and make their money back from that.

It goes like this to get rich you need creativity, know how to invest, have real estate, trusts, insurance, and friends with money. And most important more knowledge then others, along with discipline in your emotions because people are always watching you to take you down. If you have no discipline, they can easily manipulate you to do or say what they want to discredit you. I just did it. No disrespect though. Just preparing you for this game of getting money.

How very "christian" of you. Is it possible for you to be anymore of a hypocrite?
the average poor in America is far better of than a middle class in Africa.

There are programs here to help people.
in 3rd worlds they have nothing.

By your logic let's say you find two people injured. One has a broken back, two broken legs, burns all over their face and body, two broken arms, and shrapnel is lodged in them. The other person has one broken leg, one broken arm and mild burning.

One of these people represents the poor in Africa and the other the poor in America.

Do we help the first person and leave the second one behind? No, we help them both.

we need to leave the bum who has all the resources available in a country but refuses to take advantage of it.
Jesus gave talents to some people...find out what he did to those who didn't use....
