Ofcourse Im against ALL subsidies. Have you NOT seen me post?

And yes, at some point principle and ideology MUST take precident over this fraudulent concern for the general public that corporate liberals like to parrot. Lets call Obamacare what it is. . . A corporate giveaway. A tytannical one.

At this point we just have to agree to disgree. Personally, I think you and I should be taxed to provide a public health insurance option. That way neither of us are providing a corporate giveaway to insurance companies. By the way, this was the initial plan but Joe Lieberman killed it with one vote. So it was ridden of and now we subsidize the insurance industry. Are you for a public option?

Though I'm still wondering, if given the power, how would you rework or implement a healthcare system?

Not only that but before ACA emergency rooms were the primary care doctor for a lot of people and emergency room care is more expensive. When the uninsured couldn't pay, the hospital passed the cost onto consumers and tax payers and it cost more than if people just had insurance for primary care.

I'm not gonna reply to every line. But know this. If you aren't forced to buy health insurance why are hospitals BY FEDERAL LAW required to treat people, regardless of ability to pay? This was signed by Ronald Reagan. Unfortunately a very important component was not added: mandatory insurance. Before that hospitals dumped people to other hospitals.

fukking freeloaders shot the costs through the Goddamn roof. Should the emergency medical law get repealed? Do free market fairies make this cost magically disappear? fukk no. It gets passed in property taxes, premiums and hospital bad debt. Don't like insurance? Go after the ER law.
Great points. People treat the ER like a damn primary care. Either that, or they come in when they're already near or terminally sick with something that could have been seen and avoided with regular visits to a doctor. It shoots up medical costs, takes away beds and resources from those who need them most, and burdens other resources hospitals don't have in abundance. Healthcare in America is so broken man.

Can you parrot anything but republicans rhetoric ? We're talking about people's lives and you're talking fake concern. Do you know how many people did not have access to healthcare before this?

While you were sleeping, Senate Republicans held a late-night vote to try to pass their last-ditch effort to repeal Obamacare — but it all failed when Sen. John McCain bucked the party line and voted against the bill.

The decision by McCain, who was recently diagnosed with brain cancer, came as a shock to many of his colleagues — audible gasps could be heard in the Senate when he voted no.

McCain joined two other GOP senators — Lisa Murkowski and Susan Collins, who had consistently objected to the repeal efforts — to vote against the so-called "skinny repeal."
In a statement issued after the vote, McCain said he supported replacing Obamacare but objected to the provisions of this particular proposal and the highly partisan manner in which it was being achieved.

The skinny repeal "offered no replacement to actually reform our health care system and deliver affordable, quality health care to our citizens," McCain said.

Here's video of the exact moment McCain strolled into the Senate chamber at 1:29 a.m. and voted no with a thumbs-down.

Just before McCain enters, Murkowski and Collins can be seen watching on, waiting to see if he will join them in opposing the bill.

Exactly. McCain is still a dikk blower.

To be fair, the other two were always more hard no's so there is less of a story. In fact, it's rumored that Collins in particular is often given the wink and nod by McConnell to vote no on bills they know will have the votes in order to maintain a "maverick" appeal in her home state. It's always been a vote he is willing to lose. Their vote wasn't as needed. If it was just those two, this would still pass with pence being the tie breaker.

Not to take anything away from them but it's more of a story because McCain was an unknown. He always says on thing and does another. The fact he did what he actually said here is a surprise.

Redemption stories seem to be more popular than status quo stories.

You're a contrarian without an independent thought in your head. You clearly don't know anything about health care. Typical.
