I keep reading comments from these same people attacking the "leeches" who they have to pay health insurance for while they have to work, not realizing ACA isn't just Medicaid or access to health exchanges. They also act like their usually white ass are the only people who pay taxes. The entitlement and arrogance is sickening.

EVERYONE will be impacted by this. It gets rid of the employer mandate which incentivized employers to provide coverage. Without it, companies can says "peace to your plan. We're not interested in providing it anymore."

The thing is you can argue with these people all day and change some minds here and there. But you're just one person with limited time and resources.

Democrats need to use the apparatus and cash to inform these people better. I have yet to see much of that. Republicans are much better in brainwashing people than democrats.
Those people will not be convinced otherwise by the Democrats

No matter what the Dems say, in their minds, Democrats = Liberals = Godless, man on man fukking, dog fukking, gun taking, psycho snowflakes who hate America.

at one time I would agree with you. I'm not saying you can convert everyone but healthcare really is something the democrats can take a higher ground on and win I believe.

It's one thing to be a libertarian dikkhead who just read Ayn Rand in college or high school who can in the abstract, view government in all forms as being oppressive and you can flirt intellectually with the idea of some anarchro capitalist paradise where the federal government disappears.

On the other hand, the most reliable voters who are usually older, all consist of people who know someone close to them or they themselves who have some sort of medical problem. This is an issue that touches every person at some point in time.

I've observered when people talk to a lot of these people and clearly outline what is cut, what the specific danger of this bill is, and also address their concerns such as rising premiums you get people to listen. Does that mean that All of them will vote differently? No. But you slowly move the public consciousness into a new paradigm over time if you keep hammering these things over and over again.

Democrats are terrible at doing this. They just are.

Bernie sanders town halls on this matter on the other hand really convinced me that is the the way forward in talking to some people. You also have to put up someone they are willing to take a chance on voting for.

How you gonna ROFL with a hollow back?

I thought he went to Russia and renounced the United States? Regardless, I see myself in this, I can see the pain in his eyes, just frustrated and angry, and knowing there is nothing I can do about this, and how much it will affect me. I truly hate these people, totally and completely.

He works for RT America out of the Washington, DC office. He just broadcasts the news and moderates there. His Facebook page has commentary like when he was on MSNBC.

The dems need to learn how to frame their arguments to the ppl better.

They know they aren't going to win republican voters by appeasing to their sympathy, logic and understanding of how health care is better for all ppl. Nah, they need to frame it how UHC will actually SAVE them money, it will put more money in their pockets, it will help create jobs, and it will be far better for small business owners, especially ones looking to grow.

it's all about how you sell the message, and Dems have a horrible way of doing that.....unfortunately.

It won't be repealed in full since you need 60 votes to get rid of the law.

But the reconcilation repeal of the taxes, subsidies, and patient protections will have many people die, many people be denied coverage when their lifetime caps hit (right now, there is a ban on lifetime caps), and a bunch of people being thrown off Medicaid.
