Gas prices always spike under Republican presidents because big business knows they won't say or do anything. But, the real problem is how oil is bought and sold. If you stop teh speculators who just want to jerk around prices that would solve the problem. This came up the last time it happened about 10-15 years back. If someone buys a shyt ton of oil just to jack up the price, MAKE THEM TAKE PHYSICAL POSSESSION OF THE OIL. That stops people who aren't really in the industry from insta-buying and selling.

I support a gas tax for infrastructure, but I finally moved to a place where I'm driving a lot more and def feel it. Pain point but if they improve the roads, I'm okay. NJ has been flouting this for years and finally increased in 2016. Looks like they're about to raise it again.

chuck schumer was right in 2018, correct? that 2.75 gas hurt the middle class, and climate change was irrelevant? but now it's "just go buy an electric car"?

i'd challenge any shill in here to find a more embarrassing reversal  is it dame diddy, dame daddy, or dame dummy

The U.S. is the top oil producing country in the world. Under the Biden administration the U.S. is producing more oil than ever. There are more factors in gas prices than just drilling more oil. Opec+ is a much bigger issue.

@the cac mamba has been told by numerous posters that the US, let alone the President who only heads 1 of 3 branches of govt., does not have much power over the price of gas. This goes back to his combination of a lack of intellectual curiosity, a tendency to interpret information at surface level, and borderline trolling.

Basically, he's a moron and a troll.

this is some A+ democrat bootlicking :salute:

the fukking thread is about chuck schumer, democrat leadership in 2018, correctly bringing up the fact that high gas prices crush the middle class. why have the democrats abandoned that message? is it not crushing them now?

is biden's message of "we're saving antarctica, just go buy an electric car" better than republicans' message of "unleash american energy, get gas prices down", in the general election?
