Eddie died during the prime of career when he was finally coming into his own as a legit main eventer.

A lot of Midcard dudes like edge, mark Henry, Bradshaw, etc got to be a world champ when the rock & Austin left so it's a bit understandable why you're confused.

I feel like Edge proved he was a top guy. He doesn't get the respect he deserve

Check out his ECW run, WCW matches with Rey, Jericho, and the rest of the Radicalz. His WWE stuff was solid be it the comedy stuff with China or his title run against Brock and Angle.

As far as wrasslin classics and the best finishes or perfect match.
Imo, eddy and benoit had the all time best match ever.
So you can start there.

That is how good eddy was.

He was arguable best of all time and for his error considering the burial based trash he was in promotions with. That he actually is the guy who gave them their first long term drawing programs. He should rank higher with the type of are clique based as well.

Outside of that he was as great an all time worker, with the fastest inring main event level match speed as standard. Where he could shytlft up and down speeds with no fail as well. As well as storytell just as effectively in any pace or match style in any Continent as well.

I liked eddy, but always saw him as a great worker who was too small to main event.....i know he did win the title but to me his best stuff was during his mid card run in ecw/wcw/ early wwf....then he did more roids which combined with other previously used drugs, eventually led to him jobbing to the toothbrush
