I really dont come to this section because I stopped watching wrestling a while back, but as a kid and teen from about 92 till around 2007 I was a huge wrestling fan.

I dont watch it on TV, but I do watch old matches, shoot interviews and a few channels dedicated to the sport on Youtube. On all of them, they talk about Eddie like he was an all time great.

I really dont remember him being on the level everyone is claiming he is...for some reason he'll always be a midcarder to me :yeshrug:

I know he won the WWE title but it didnt feel right and it felt forced to me. Am I bugging or is EG the most overrated wrestler of all time?

No Father To MY Style.. A Son Unique
King of the original vanilla midgets. I mean that positively. He was a great talent who played his role of worker and developed quite the personality over time which got him over to the top finally near the end. He stepped up when the company needed him.

He is overrated by the nerds but hes def top 10/20 of his era and could possibly be top 20 overall depending on how you view the product. Shame he passed. I liked him more than ever at the end because of developing his character. I just remember wanting to see everyone else besides him during his wcw run. Wolfpac. Hogan. Macho. Jericho. Raven. Saturn. Mysterio. Etc. He did NOT stick out there except for the quality matches but im glad he grew that personality.

man. im just not seeing it.
When I think of Eddie Guerrero I think of folks like Chris Masters, Jeff Jarrett, Matt Hardy, Mr.Kennedy, Mark Henry, D-Lo Brown..:yeshrug:
Folks who are good but wasnt worthy of a heavyweight title.

Maybe cause I remember him as a cruiser weight on WCW or I stopped watching when his run began. Bruh overrated to me. He'll never be in the Rock, Stone Cold, HHH, Undertaker, Shawn Michaels, Sting, Hulk Hogan, Ric Flair, Kurt Angle league that folks try to put him in.

fukk all yall negging me :pacspit:

most neg worthy OP I read in here in a long time.
I don't even know where to start.

one of the best in ring workers of his era. one of the few guys that I can remember that could draw just as much heat as a heel, as he could draw cheers as a babyface(think Randy Savage and the rock).

him and benoit gave kurt angle his blueprint for his move set. go watch early angle before and after he started wrestling those 2.

watch how smooth he was in the ring, he could wrestle any style and have a good match with anyone. go watch his heel run in wcw 1997. his great match run in 2002 on smackdown. and thats not even getting into his japan stuff.

Eddie G was your consummate wrestling guy in a lot of ways, he could be a mid carder or put on a memorable performance as a main event. He wasn't afraid to dazzle the audience. He started working on his on character in later years. He was compelling as a good guy or heel. He was a versatle wrestle mixed a lot of different moves. He was also influential in Japan.
