This doesn't suprise me, the perfect way to thrive or show acceptance to a system of white supremacy is to shyt on black people. The polynesian guy is a c00n.
like the manner in which some HL posters speak about black people
People think cooing is limited to blacks, they are sadly mistaken... and this goes for blacks who crap on other minorities as well. You don't have to like them but respect in this society is required brehs.

In our country its called c00ning, in 3rd world countries its called standard practice. Why you think immigrants are so quick to kiss a$$$ and be agreeable? They align themselves with what benefits them and not worry about the greater good.

Hating anyone does nothing for the greater good. This is why I have love for all and I don't support hate.

Sure, but there isnt anything wrong with emulating those who have achieved what you would like to achieve. In facts its a common practice.
Whites emulated the arabs, the chinese, and northern Africans at various points throughout history in order to get where they are now. This idea that its "selling out" to do so is ridiculous.

IMO of course :manny:

emulating success doesn't necessarily = emulating white people. blacks have invented, created and established very important patents, products, medical processes and a long list of achievements on our own.

there are many examples of black and brown people that have achieved success without emulating whites for us to point to as examples. to even remotely suggest that it's ok to sell out or ditch your ethnicity in order to be accepted by the majority race (by emulating them) is ridiculous and disgusting.

it seems you like to be race neutral, almost to a fault at times, but i hope you're not suggesting that minorities striving to emulate whites is better than emulating people in your own race. it's not.

Good habits are not race specific, though.

This is what I want, more good habits and better fundamentals, there are too many weak links in our community. Poor spending habits, poor people skills, poor discipline, poor behavior, poor relationship skills etc...is what I want our people to avoid and stop encouraging.

All the things this Polynesian guy hates, I hate, too.

I have no problem with him calling our people out, but him using it to fuel his racism is misguided and he is a fool.

there are bad representatives of every race, and as you pointed out generalizing people based on bad examples is just idiotic.

i agree with the challenges you mentioned in regards to spending, people skills, discipline, etc and the issues this guy mentioned is undesirable for every one. however, we have unique challenges in those areas that white people and even some other minorities don't experience on the same scale.

imo blacks emulating other successful blacks (including their habits) is very important for our people because they can demonstrate a road map to success that speak directly to us on the challenges we face as black people. also what works for us is different for other races. for a black person to look at a white person and say i want to be like them, and then try to follow their path to success just isn't realistic imo. white privilege doesn't extend to us.

I think alot of times us as black people don't realize that its not just white people , but over 600 years of media slanting and brainwashing that we as a race are overcoming. Take this dude fore instance he grew up on the hawiian islands and in the south pacific, his only experiences with blacks until his adult life were framed in the media and through images that lets be honest painted us as soulless criminals. Dude had his mind made up about black folks long before he ever met one.

Thats the demonic part about it.

What is it, if anything that you find wrong with "race neutrality"? <--- I have a follow up question :smugfavre:

And to use Asians again, I wouldn't say those emulating whites, have "ditched their ethnicity". I think taking the building blocks for success* and incorporating them into your own identity is the name of the game.
I am using whites as a example because they run shyt here in the U.S.

The reason I don't like all the pro-black rhetoric and religious rhetoric, because it gets too stuck in idealism.

Sure, we have obstacles in our way. Everyone faces challenges. The fact that there are more white people on welfare than ALL other races combined, should tell there simply isn't enough good fortune to go around.

I just want my people to do things to better their odds.

i know many successful black people personally that mentor and participate in boys and girls clubs in minority communities. i'm not some super successful business person, but i mentor at least one weekend a month. in atlanta we also have a group called 100 black men of atlanta that mentor young minority kids. there are also offshoots of that organization in addition to local colleges that participate in the community.

One of the first words that some immigrant groups new to America learned was '******.' If you wanted to fit in with mainstream white American society, you had to rebuke what was seen as the opposite. Anytime I hear any minority talk about how members of their background made it so why haven't black people who have been here longer done the same, I remember that fact.
