Sekiro is really that dope ?

Disagree. We've seen some of the greatest games of all time drop this gen with indie developers dropping constant heat.

Most adult gamers don't have the time to play all the amazing games dropping. It's an amazing era. Golden age, maybe.

and the vast majority of indie titles are overrated as hell by the gaming media its like if flash games from 2005 were critically acclaimed

Unless you like very specific types of games (western/open world/sandbox/pvp/lootcrate/fps) AAA gaming is a wasteland

The last truly great modern style game was Titanfall 2 (not counting throwbacks like Sonic Maina, remakes, remasters etc.)

This is an outstanding game and a good era of games, but let's not get carried away with the golden era nonsense. Ps1 & 2 era has still been the greatest era as of yet. This era is plagued with developers scared to take risks and create new adventurous projects because of the cost. It cost so fukking much now, yet the cost hasn't changed that much.

This era is worst than the last generation of consoles.

its not really a knock on whats out there.

Bruh WHERE are all these good games I seem to be missing out on? I've been gaming since 1991 I'm as far from casual as it gets

I Just refuse to play whatever shyt games come out and act like its the best thing ever just because there is nothing else to play

Give or take a few games depending on individual taste this list in spot on this era has been lackluster

ya I just bushed star wars yesterday...about to give this a try in a few...I don’t think it’ll disappoint

slightly OT but a lot of games featured last gen mechanics but where dressed up in current gen graphics...I hope the next gen is not more of the same w/ “pretty” fast loading games that offer nothing new in terms of gameplay

there were only a handful of games that broke the mold this gen imo

I could probably do well in this game since ive polished up on my hack n slash playing TW3 on hard.

I just think that games with 100s of certain deaths is a waste of the consumers time.

TW3 is a cakewalk compared to Sekiro. I'm not a fan of it, honestly, but I didn't care for Bloodborne, either. I don't find From Software games hard so much as cheap, the difficulty curve more draining than enjoyable. If playing a game designed to make you rage is your cup of tea, more power to you, but I don't find that kind of gameplay fun.

I might’ve shytted on it too early...I went to play sekiro and decided to play star wars one last time before I deleted it...I was on my way to the 2nd planet but we had to stop @ this place that has some storm troopers and I’m kind of digging it a little...game has its flaws but I like the exploring aspect of it and the light saber battles are fun...idk...I just felt they could’ve spent more time developing it and given fans a better game...but I may have spoken too soon tho...maybe I need to be patient and push thru a little more
