Seen Suicide Squad for the first time

This came on last night and man was this worse than I remember. The songs were awful and if they reminded me they were the bad guys one more time I was gonna punch someone. The characters were boring and the plot made no sense. The editing was so amateurish and the tone of the movie was all over the place. Worse DCEU movie ever just an utter mess.

I was enjoying the movie, but that last 20 or so minutes when they fought the enchantress knocked it down a ton for me.

This, I actually like this better than the other DCEU movies but yeah the last 1/3 is so bad it almost ruins what came before. But I preferred the tone of this to the overly serious MoS/BvS Snyder bullshyt.

I'd take Winter Soldier and Avengers over Guardians. Guardians was great but I prefer the other two, mainly because TWS was very daring and had some of the best action scenes in the MCU, while The Avengers is a very well done ensemble film with a fantastic climax and character moments.

I was just looking at some show yesterday and there was a commercial for this other show (the name escapes me at time of posting this) and in it. This girl was dancing to distract these 2 other people while her partner ambushed them.

The soundtrack in Guardians had a purpose, it helped establish just how long ago it was that Peter had been on earth. The music, the Walkman, some of the dated references Quill would make. It also added to the connection Quill had to his mother.

In Suicide Squad the music is just there because it's recognizable, it doesn't really add to the narrative of the film in any way. It doesn't give any insight into the characters we're watching or anything.
