First day watch, but I could've done without the police brutality angle. A black sci-fi flick would've been nice on its own.:francis:

Was JUST gonna say this shyt.
:beli:

Looks cool tho.
:ehh:

Lol you already know they gotta preach to us being that this flick is probably a tax write off for the studio that did this

Bruh i skimmed through the credits thinking the were gonna have some marvel type shyt. Nope :martin:
It honestly KILLS the entire movie for me because there's 0 resolution to anything with new problems being added in the final scene :mindblown:

Set up for the sequel most likely.

Man if they wanna do a sequel thats cool but they can still have that lane open while giving this a proper ending.
They think folks gonna wait around 2 years or so and still be interested in how the 1st story ends? Nah im done with it cause it left a bad impression on me.
It feels like a copout to not have to figure out all the time travel holes.
"Yo how we gonna explain 2 CJs out there?:lupe:"
"Idk fade to black and wrap shooting :yeshrug:"

Her running to try and save her brother again was a perfect ending.

This story couldn't be wrapped up in a neat little bow and the time travel was a great way to reinforce the victimization of blacks due to police brutality and inner-city violence. It couldn't be resolved in the movie because it isn't resolved in real life. The ending of her running was just an example of her continuing to fight to try and prevent the people she loved from dying.

It seemed allegorical to how the black community is on a constant cycle of rinse and repeat with the deaths of young black men, and I liked that it was left open-ended because even though it seems there's no end in sight to the violence and death, a lot of blacks (like CJ) are still fighting the good fight and are determined not to stop until it's resolved.

I was taken aback by the abrupt ending, but that's how I interpreted it once I thought about it for a while, and it made me really appreciate the movie.:salute:

That ending literally killed the whole movie for me. And on top of that the main character was damn near unlikeable because she couldn’t control her damn emotions. If she would have just been patient, the 2nd plan would have worked.

Hell...if she wouldn’t have fukked with her ex-boyfriend in the beginning he wouldn’t have delayed her from getting to her brother the first time they jumped.

And also if she kept going back and changing the past, the space time continuum would be getting even more fukked up...since they were following the “Back To The Future” logic of time travel.

Again...I UNDERSTAND that ending...but it literally killed the movie for me.

The Michael J. Fox cameo was a nice touch tho :obama:
