I'm a broke college student and I don't have a problem scrounging up $20 for a date, if you can't ATLEAST come up with $20 then you shouldn't be dating in the first place. And if she asks you why you didn't take her somewhere more expensive, tell her she hasn't earned it yet or you don't know if she's worth it in a half joking/half serious manner.
