A team from your conference losing a non conference game actually hurts you in the short and long run. Where do y'all get the idea that the biggest rivals in the SEC root for each other, a ton of SEC fans rooted for Oregon in 2010 vs Auburn UGA fans didn't root for UF in their title games in 06 and 08 for the most part, most of the SEC fans root for their lesser conference foes, but that happens in every other conference
