It's AMAZING.I've been watching it all season with the Lions and the media darling Ben Johnson.

And infuriating. Jameson Williams is one of the fastest guys in the league and somebody Brad Holmes traded up to get. I don't think they've thrown him five deep balls all season and that's including his 63 yarder this past weekend. It's AMAZING.
I don’t know if that’s the case, the broncos could easily be the worse team in that division for his whole time there as a coachIt has been all over the media (certainly on Twitter from what I've seen in recent months), that even when Denver was winning with Russell being a solid game manager....that Sean Payton felt held back by the QB position.
Wilson getting benched because of his contract is a debacle, but Payton clearly doesn't want him to be his QB anyway -- even if Wilson agreed to restructure his contract.
But it's not like Jarret Stidham showed anything in the win over the Chargers last week. He played the same conservative game management style that Russ has been playing all year.
Denver's defense is really carrying this team this year. And I don't think Payton is really going to make the offense elite to the point that they're AFC contenders. What I think happens is...they battle for a Wild Card spot for the entirety of Payton's time there because the Chargers and Raiders are so bad, that by default, the Broncos will be the 2nd best team in the AFC West.
Payton will turn them around like the Saints. The Parcell tree is a pretty good coach staff.
People were talking all kinds of shyt and STFU when they started winning games. First year and people think playoffs. Just don't know football. You have to change the culture and get the players that fit your scheme
It's not Arthur Smith bad but it's...not good. I do wonder how much of it is Dan Campbell having a heavy role in things though. How many (non play caller) head coaches do you see who constantly have a play sheet in their hand, and often look like they're calling plays? Johnson without someone looking behind his back could be an entirely different play caller. And frankly when you listen to some of the things players have said, I do wonder about it. Jahmyr Gibbs specifically said this spring that Johnson told him he'd be extensively used in the pass game. Holmes called him an offensive weapon when he drafted him. Yet on the field his route tree basically has two things on it (screens and the most basic check down). And infuriating. Jahmyr Gibbs is electric when he gets the ball and terrifying when he gets the ball in space. It felt like it took two months before he got a toss or stretch play. Everything was between the tackles. Even now, the vast majority of his carries are right up the gut.
All the praise Ben Johnson gets drives me nuts.

And none of those teams were as bad as the BroncosIt's because Payton on NO, McDermott, Daboll, Mangini, McVay, Reid on KC etc have gone to the playoffs their first year.

You and @BucciMane deserve that.A lot of Patriots fans want to replace Belichick with Ben Johnson
Johnson doesn't seem to be in a hurry to leave Detroit. He coulda got a job last offseason and that rumored leak of him wanting $15 per to be a head coach doesn't scream, "get me out of here."It's not Arthur Smith bad but it's...not good. Even if you think Ben Johnson is overrated it's hard for me not to think he'd be amazing in Atlanta or LA (Chargers).
