So as it is now. Is this game a good game? Admittedly I didn’t read the entire thread but I do see you . I could careless what you like or don’t and if they align with mine I’m just calling what I just noticed. I was looking to get sea of thieves since it was X enhanced needless to say I won’t be copping at the moment. Can you link me to you criticizing x1 exclusives?

As it is now. I enjoyed it, but it's not for me.

As I explained above the game is aimed at the social/streaming crowd.

I feel there's a disconnect with people expectations and what the devs are actually aiming for.

People expect loot and XP bars. SOT doesn't have any of that. So they say it has no "content"

When really it's all about interactions with other people. It's unique in that aspect and if they can keep the streaming crowd engaged, the game will be very successful. I watch my son watch other people play games and he's having the time of his life.

I don't get it, but plenty of people enjoy this type of experience.

If the cosmetic items had stats/abilities attached to them, and the missions had movies at the end, then people wouldn't say it has "no content"

It's just different. Time will tell if it catches on.

What's crazy is YouTube has turned my son on to some classic games that I probably never could have gotten him to play, cause he likes the reactions/gimmick of the people playing.

He plays the hell out of Skate 3 and watches these white boys play it on YouTube screaming and calling each other bro every two seconds. Same with rocket league. Now one of the channels he watches is playing SOT.

He and I played it together and we had a good time. Honestly we were both smiling ear to ear the entire time. It's fun to just fukk around in the world. Even when you lose it's fun. The stories you create through gameplay and interactions with other people are pure fukkery.

With that said, I'm not gonna keep going back. Probably boot it up from time to time, but I have no interest in becoming a pirate legend or whatever the hell else they are talking about, but I could see a lot of people getting into this game for the long run.
