The heart wants what the heart wants. lol Judging the second accusers account Andrew is just a victim of his own human frailty. He was working hard and busting his ass fighting Covid and afterward going home to an empty home. He seeked companionship and was obviously desperate. Human beings aren't as calculating as we like to pretend. When you are the governor 24/7 you forget what that means and mistakes happen.
What's a bigger transgression coming on to sabordinates like Cuomo or paying for it like Spitzer did?

No excuses for Cuomo, but this is the result of work weeks being too damn long. You can only suppress your biological sexual urges for only so long. Working 60 to 80+ hour weeks takes a toll on most people. It not natural to do so.

Was thinking about Spitzer and how that panned out when this started to build up steam. Damned if you do, don't damned if you don't. Spitzer was probably in the right compared to Cuomo although not legally and he may have been married still(can't remember). Good old America and its warped morality...

the factions calling for him to resign are pretty laughable tbh especially the right after they've refused to deal with numerous similar situations many of which are worse

he's probably toast meh

praying we don't end up with a Republican governor over this

Yes, Spitzer was married but I bet he felt it was necessary for his political aspirations. Damned if you,/don't still stands.
This doesn't move the needle for me but the nursing home cover-up does. And yes, I'm hoping NY is past the days of Republican Governors.

I haven’t really paid attention to the details. Was the harassment recently?

Yet she was quick to call for Al Franken to resign :mjlol:
I don't blame her. She's being more cautious now. Some Democrats are still bitter at her over Franken. She's walking the tight rope.

All of the allegations allegedly happened within the past 5 years.

Someone decided to pull the trigger on this dude
Boylen has had beef with him for a while. I donated to her not so great senate run and have been keeping my eye on her. I figured something like this happened between her and Cuomo. I also don’t trust her. I feel that way about all politicians, of course, but I know she feels slighted by big party Dems from said ill-fated senate run.

He's in deep shyt. Upstate already hated him and NYC tolerated him. When you lose the city, it's over.

If Hochul steps in and does her thing, she'll get reelected easily. NY hasn't gone all the way red since Pataki and when you look at the last few elections, NY has had moments where it's been all red... except NYC and maybe Buffalo and LI. From a party perspective, I don't know if there's a Republican in the state who could convince NYC outside of Staten Island to rock with him/her.

I don’t even know how you combat this type of thing. His people wrote up the best statement they could I guess. Tough climate as a dem. I don’t like Cuomo at all but I am just hoping if/when he’s gone someone at least as strong takes the reign.

He'll trot out shid like this
