The guy who cant lose..vs the guy who cant lose at wrestlemania.. definitely would've been a fire match ... should've came after the hbk and hhh matches....

Hbk had taker looking human.. so a match vs cena in that time period we really would've believed taker was gonna catch a L

I'm a HUGE HHH mark, but i would have lost my shyt if Sting took on Taker at WM instead, maybe it would have happened had Stings back not given out.

I remember reading that Austin vs Hogan was a plan for WM 18,but somehow things got changed, with Austin ending up with Hall and Rock vs Hogan happening instead. Not sure why it didn't happen later on either.
Nah, for some reason Taker was opposed to it :snoop:

And it makes no sense to me why they shifted away from Austin/Hogan at WM18 (allegedly because neither wanted to lose) since Hogan lost to Rock anyway. Maybe they thought they could save it as a title match to headline WM or something :francis:

I'm glad it was Rock/Hogan, they had way better chemistry in ring than Austin/Hogan would have.

You don't know that. And that match was made by the fans' reaction, not their chemistry.

only way Hogan vs Austin woulda worked is if it was a brawl similar to the Hogan/Vince WM 19 match cause if it was just a regular match it would’ve been trash

Hogan no selling a stunner :scust:

hulking up while getting a mud hole stomped in him :scust:

getting right back up after a Lou Thesz :scust:

dusty finish ending cause neither guy wanted to lose :scust:

naw they could keep that and i’m glad they did

I still say WrestleMania 29 should have been Punk/Rock main event for the WWE Title with Cena/Taker as the semi-main event :francis: but instead we got "Twice In a Lifetime"
Curious to see how you can make this work. How would you have written Rock's involvement for the Rumble and Elimination Chamber 13?

Personally, I think it should have been Punk/Rock/Cena and WWE expediting Brock/Taker for 29 instead of 30.

Definitely should have been a triple threat considering the monumental run Punk was having.

Story literally was right there too.

I say Cena wins Rumble. Punk retains at Rumble with the screwy Sheild finish (they can the ending where Vince came out. And don't even have Vince involved at all ). Rock gets rematch at Chamber with a stipulation in his favor. He wins. Punk butts heads with Cena over rematch. They have a no contest match on Raw, Rock comes out and says give me them both. Boom Triple threat at Mania, where Cena wins.

It was never going to be Austin vs Hogan. Rock hinted at them having something big for him months before. People just overanalyze it after it never happened post 2003.

Monumental run? 2.4s and no sell outs as champion? The IWC mindset is comical. He pretty much bombed..the rating went up a full point when Rock won the title. Didnt matter who Rock faces at WM 29. It was gonna be ultra successful thanks to the post Raw of WM 28. 51K tickets first day.
