See. He said he didn’t even get actual credits on The Watcher Part 2 even tho he wrote on the top lines and did the keys n all that. I heard RZA contributed to Brooklyn Zoo and didn’t get credited and that’s why he played it. Like Scott said. In all of the battles before his he saw people playing collaborative records. Or shyt they contributed to. So he didn’t understand why it was a big deal when he did it.
Mannie definitely knew because he had skits contributed to it. Like he literally had skits dissing Scott for that. But acted like he didn’t know he would play them. Dude had time to make those skits. But not even have a playlist sorted out. Lol. Come on fam. He did have stuff to counter. It’s just that he was unprepared. Also the battle ain’t about who got the biggest records. It’s about who wins the most rounds. If u play ur cards right. U could still win.It was a big deal because everyone else was battling a producer that could also counter with records they contributed to. Mannie had nothing to counter Storch's collaborations with. And we can't assume that he knew Storch would pull up collaborative records considering the long list of hits Storch has amassed by himself.

I said before that Mannie shouldn’t have accepted the battle. Storch really was on some “bring whoever” type shyt. I know Swizz n Timbaland regrets that battle very much. It sparked unwarranted disrespect.Storch's collaborations are well noted though. Timbaland dissed him in their feud by calling him "piano man" and there was even a diss from one of Tim's artists to Storch called "Piano Man". I don't agree with the notion that Storch cheated because of the collaborations or him playing R&B and crossover records. Mannie vs Storch wasn't a balanced battle though. All the other ones were. Like, if I'm Mannie Fresh, I have nothing in my arsenal that could counter a Beyonce song. And then, when Mannie dropped the Juve record, of course Storch was going to have to counter with "Still Dre". Even still, they could've kept it Hip Hop and Mannie still loses because Storch brought a whole other element: he literally started playing joints on the keyboard. IMO, that was the dopest aspect of the battle.
