Smaller guards that cannot shoot a basketball will always take longer to develop if they ever develop at all....too many old nikkas still thinking this is 1995 with the way they view prospects that can run and jump and do nothing else from a skill perspective
I've said it before but the biggest issue is Scoot isn't the athlete he was hyped to be. He was supposed to be in that Ja/Rose/Westbrook class. He does not stand out athletically.

Scoot could still be impactful as a point with a shaky shot if he was an overwhelming athlete.

Next season for him will be make or break. Point guard position is very competitive.

Most of great players who went to NBA with zero college experience were already showing good results in sophomore year, if given as many minutes as Henderson is receiving right now.

I'm surprised Chauncey can't teach him a thing, as Chauncey himself has been a journey man in his first 4 seasons going from one team to another looking OK at best. You think he could teach another guard how to get better. Or maybe Henderson is that bad.

Are we sure Chauncey is a good coach? :patrice:

Forgot where I saw it but someone mentioned that if Brandon Miller was playing like Scoot. People would be killing the Hornets.

Part of it is if people admit the Scoot pick was that bad, they'd have to admit Miami fans were right about the Portland GM. Trading Dame for Herro and keeping Jrue would've been infinitely better than the shyt they have now.

Paying for Ayton, drafting Scoot, trading for RWIII - the team is going to have to do ANOTHER rebuild. They have to unload Simons, Scoot, Grant, Ayton, RWIII, possibly even Shaeden Sharpe. The last few years in Portland are all time terrible.

I knew how this story would end when he showed up on draft night in a rhinestone studded suit with cowboy boots. Captain unserious.

Not really because it’d be revisionist history in acting like the narratives and slander didn’t exist about Herro prior.

They’d still essentially be in the same situation that they’re in now as there was no way that Jrue was still going to be on that roster and Herro would have been another guard and created more logjam.
