i was traveling down the wrong road and found god again, brehs dont let these know it alls shake you, stand firm, they themselves dont even know what they believe in. they will come at you with links and articles and all sorts of crap to make their point, but the point is they cant feel what we do because they are so far gone. stay true brehs and listen up and pay attention because god is always out there trying to help you if you just open your eyes.

skimmed through your story and found this line:

Duality = dualism

Dualism: mind and body are separate entities...

Almost no scientist, believe in that sh*t. More like monism.

Monism: the mind and body are one.

Law of conservation: energy and matter are created out of the same substance; energy cannot be created nor destroyed...

You just pointed it out. The student was talking about the professor, not scientists in general.

A lot of scientific advances have been made by religious people. I dont understand why some people think that science and religion contradict each other. They don't, and in some ways they compliment each other.

Yeah, many scientists believe that there was a force that is supreme to use that created this universe and life as we know. They just are conflicted and what this force is. Some have a hard time acknowledging a supreme being such as God.

Here is crazy verse

Genesis 6:3
And the Lord said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years.

According to the bible, at this point God was like y'all are messing up. So I will not let you live more than 120 years no more. Before that, according the bible man lived hundreds of years. There is only one woman that his lived past 120 years in France, that can even be debated. But no man has lived even up to 120 years in the modern world :mindblown:

It took a while before they figured things out. That wouldn't happen if they have read the holy book.
Define "then". Off the top of my head Ancient Greeks and Babylonians already covered most of this shyt :ld:

WOw never realized how stupidi scientists used to be until they studied the Bible. Thank you. Its like they forgot where they came from and who birthed and burped them. Crazy to think how many of their crackpot theories are going to be debuct over the next 100 years.

:lolbron:

Some of these strawmen are just pathetic. A few examples:

Isaiah 40:22 says the earth was a circle, in other words, a flat disk, and in fact, it's the exact verse the Church used to justify that belief (it was the Church, not scientists, who popularized the belief that the earth was flat.) A circle is not a sphere- it's a flat, 2-dimensional shape.

Atoms are not invisible.

We still bleed people, and it still works.

Ah, fukk, it- as I should have guessed, many have debunked this list before, so I'll just post a link: Science Confirms the Bible - RationalWiki

This quote sums up mine, and a lot of scientists feelings on religion. "Science is the slow revelation of God's blueprint." There has to be something that created hydrogen, the building block of the universe. The Bible is anecdotal, science is emperical. Bible isn't needed to be spiritual, or to have belief in a higher being.

:rudy: wtf is that supposed to mean?

There's no point in discussing religion on here, I had never attempted to before, but I realized that a couple of days ago.

It always becomes a contest of extreme caricatured perceptions with both sides believing they have a better understanding of the other side than they actually do(theists and atheists); it is entirely counterproductive aside from giving those two segments a place to vent. I mean, it probably does more to separate people who are naturally aligned on other issues than anything, it's not like this is some right wing evangelical haven. I'd rather not partake in that is all I'm getting at. So vent away. :manny:

each star is different? :mindblown:

atoms are INVISIBLE? :mindblown:

so I guess we're all invisible right now right? :wow:

there are INNUMERABLE stars? :mindblown: While it's not possible to get an exact number, the number is far from incalculable.

:mindblown: Blood is the source of life? How come there are animals alive today who don't have blood or a circulatory system? :mindblown:

Sorry, this shyt is fukking AWFUL. I think it's absolutely hilarious that you all think ANY of this shyt is profound. Most of those verses are extremely vague. There isn't shyt to debate here BarNone. The bible was written thousands ago by people who had little-to no scientific knowledge.

none of that has anything to do with the silly logic in the OP. what happened to your rhetoric about "promoting better arguments"?

and wtf is "these guys". are you part of HL, or just the guy that complains about it all the time?
