My Pops Forever RIP
Not using SZA as a feature after her going 4X plat is certainly a choice.
Q's just doing whatever at this point. He wasn't tryna follow a patented formula. Otherwise he woulda had A$AP Rocky on it, SZA on it (I think they only did that 1 song together), more than 1 Black Hippy member, unreleased Mac Miller vocals, etc.

Q to me has felt semi-retired since Mac's passing kinda like Soulo

Really dope but god damn some of these songs are criminally short.

Smile being one minute long hurts. Lost Times has those drums drop after the hook and then after verse 2 it seems to kind of just end abruptly. I would’ve liked more Germany ‘86 and Movie too.

Album way better than CrasH Talk though

Any hard bangers or more mellow shyt? I’m already thinking from what ur saying the alc joints going to be a mid beat selection but it may go nicely with the album cohesively, that it ends up being good. It hurts wen u know the two songs he has in the chamber didn’t make it for a mostly drumless alc joint. My homie was the nicest q solo produced by alchemist. I wish wed get more of that real talk.

I really like the album. Weird mixture of abrasive shyt with very vibe-y tracks that almost sound like some psychedelic pop (or early Odd Future type) shyt. Lyrically I'm surprised that it's not the personal album I assumed we'd get after Crash Talk. Feels like a lot of this is freestyled, lyrically. The flows and bounce are more important than the words for the most part. I can imagine this is gonna really go live on tour.

Standouts for me are Yeern 101, Movie (straight west coast shyt lol), and Time Killers.

shyt with all change-ups and beat switches I see the short tracks as no different, I enjoyed the experience and production + it doesn't get boring, Was dope
in the headphones too.

I'll probably grow to hate the Devin Malik features as the album gets more burn though.
