Yeah, you can't just play games that are designed for PS3 due to being games that are built for the Cell CPU.

So are they going to have 2 separate store fronts? The one they have now and the new one?

Are they essentially going to have all the DLC games rewritten to work on PS4?

There will be no point in downloading any PS3 games on the PS4. This includes PSN games. They just would not work at all on your PS4.

Instead, Sony may provide the option of streaming those games from a cloud somewhere - a server somewhere is playing those games and streaming video/audio to you and input from you to the server. They've already announced that they'll be streaming games but I don't think they went into detail on if it's the full catalog or if it includes PSN games (I doubt that it'll be the full catalog... esp day 1)

I always keep my old systems and I have no problem hooking them up when I want to play a game on them.
