This gives me deja vu. Seen this so many times in a group and one of the folk—-usually the less famous one—-has that moment they realize they view things more personally then the other

Prime example Shannon and Skip recently (‘you would diminish me to make your point?!’), Jay z and dame, jay z and Kanye, and actually what really triggered it for me is kinda random but Oschino used to have vids where he talked about jay z, and he would always say ‘man if I was worth a billion I would never do xyz’. Here Willie makes that same ‘if it was me’ comment.

That shyt kinda tough, I don’t watch the pod but from this 1 vid it seems Willie sees Face as more of a friend than Face sees Willie as a friend

And now we're at the the real source of the issue. He's mad he didn't get that moment for his kids. It sucks, but the music industry is just like any other; if you have a rep of being inaccessible or hard to work with, you're going to miss out on stuff like this. And with them trying to work so many acts into the show, trying to strong arm them into doing a different song, or holding things up to get a hold of Willie to work things out, they probably would've just moved on by giving another act a little more time instead, or more likely, just making the segment shorter.

Sucks, but it is what it is.

Willie then says Face always released an album after Geto Boys released one.
1. Why would that be a problem? Thats good promotion. Help the Geto Boyz momentum with the solo shyt
2. What makes him think Face chose the date of the release? Rap A Lot probably planned it that way because it's smart business.
3. It's a lie. He only released an album after a Geto Boys album in the same year twice. That was 91 and 93

Maybe he so sure Face took gigs that asked for Geto Boys because Willie himself took gigs that asked for Geto Boys and he didnt call Face.

It's business is a convenient and sometimes a fycked up weak excuse. It's respect. The fact he was willing to put a friendship on the line for a small appearance is fycked up. Glad they talked it out though.
