He's in that next tier with Brees, Ben, Romo and Ryan. Brady, Rodgers and Peyton are the elite.
No no and no. Do not pair Romo and Ryan with Ben and Eli.

If you wanna get into the tiers crap then Ben and Eli are in their own tier on the 2nd level...THEN there's the rest of those dudes. And I still argue that Brees probably shouldn't be on that first level...no, not just based off of this season either.

Y'all really need to stop with the basic stats thing & watch the games to see what's going on. There are factors into every QB's success and subpar performances. Not absolving Eli of his poor decision-making this season, but it's a lot more to it than saying "I was looking at his basic regular season stats..."

Ryan is NOT elite. It is not even debatable. No Quarterback who hasn't gotten past the first round of the playoffs should be even arguable as elite, Ryan hasn't even done enough to prove he's as good as a Roethlisberger or Eli, yet you're trying to say he's in that Brady/Rodgers/Manning class. I'm not even going to put down an argument as to why Romo isn't elite

:beli: I could've sworn that I said that ELI is in the same tier as Ryan,Romo,Ben,Drew. Those dudes are the ones that are in the second tier BELOW the elite tier which is the top 3.

Breh, you're comparing Quarterbacks who have won Super Bowls to a kid who, despite being surrounded by a great team, still hasn't gotten out of the first round and to a proven choke artist. No, Matt Ryan and Romo are in the tier below Ben, Drew, and Eli

What aspect of the current Falcons is as great or greater than the Steelers D was during those Super Bowl runs or the Giants front 4 that didn't allow a single team to score 20 points in either of their runs? Or as good as the Saints' O-line which was the one of only 2 to rank in the top 4 in both rushing and passing offense in that 09 season when they made their run?

This'll be good.

The results speak for themselves. Ryan has two top 15 wide receivers, a top 10 tight end, and a running game that admittedly, while blundering recently, was one of the best in the league in earlier times. His defenses have been decent to good, but I maintain that the Falcons have been good enough in recent times for a legitimate ELITE Quarterback to lead them past the first round

As much as i hate to admit it Eli is elite. And the Ryan's and Romo's and Rivers fall behind him. Their numbers may be better but Eli perfoms when it matters and he has led his team to two titles. That alone makes him elite.

LOL @ Romo not being in the same league as Eli. Whatever makes you feel better?

2 Super Bowls vs. 0. Eli performs when it matters, this isn't a Trent Dilfer vs. Dan Marino type debate, it's not like Eli's teams carry him to the ring, HE performs when it matters and Romo doesn't. So no, Romo is not on the same level as Eli.

The giants had the 25th ranked defense last year when eli won with them. I don't know why people hype that D up:ehh:

For example his brothers broncos have the 5th Ranked defense this season

I agree, he plays great in the playoffs, but the elite QB's play great in the regular season as well... Eli had a really good year last year, but again, the elite guys do it every year

Tier 1

Rodgers
Manning
Brady
Brees

Tier 2

Big Ben

Tier 3

Eli (dude is really a Tier 4 QB in terms of ability, but he has 2 rings, so he has his own tier)

Tier 4

Matty Ice
Cam
Romo
Schaub
Stafford
Cutler
Rivers

etc.
