This is typical business bs. The top mofos make bad business deals and the bottom people pay for it. Trust me, the behinf the scene people and hourly workers got that work first.

Yep the hourly folks and low level salary folks in the research department and behind the camera got the first axe some time ago.

What ESPN needs to do is this:

Get a fitness/nutritional type show for stay at home moms or people who like to get fitness tips. Call Jillian Michaels. There is no reason at 11-3pm when not a damn soul is watching they should be having sportscenter on. Get cooking tips..weight loss tips...have regular people on there with fitness coaches.

Beef up documentaries and original programming. They may need to jump on the bandwagon on some Ninja Warrior/Survivor show.

Yea I'm surprised there are not more documentaries on ESPN and I don't understand why you need NFL and NFL insiders...There should be just ESPN and ESPN 2, no need for espnu and ESPN news

That's what I thought too when I got right of cable 5 years ago, but the opposite happened the price went down and my speeds went up.

That's because it hasn't hit the point yet where companies are losing money having people cut the cord. Please believe it's coming.

Folks actually think this cutting cable.....hustling passwords shyt gonna work forever.:mjlol:
It won't because then the cable companies who also sell internet lose enough money off TV they'll all just add bandwidth caps and force people to ration out their streaming habits or pay ridiculous overages. The content providers on the other hand will go with a Netflix model where they make shows and sell stuff online.

The bad part is people think paying $60 a month for well over 100 channels is bad. In the future you'll probably have to pay that for 5-6 channels.

The cable bundle may be expensive but it's not bad and folks won't be saving money by not paying for channels they don't want. The option to drop the channels you don't want means the ones you do want will simply cost more.

The competition went up. AT&T, Verizon, and Google. Cable company isn't the only player anymore.

No doubt, but even then those cats offer cable too.

I think what it really shows is that these mufukkaz been eating good and are still making a profit even with the reduction in cable/sat subscriptions.

Another industry thats undergoing massive change....the number of cord cutters is only gonna increase every year. Honestly dunno how this is gonna affect sports as a whole because theres no way these networks are gonna pay this kind of money on the next contracts especially NBA. Either theres gonna be a bigger movement towards paid streams or republican cacs will put in draconian internet laws to force people back to cable.

I agree with everything you said .I also expect this to affect the next few NBA drafts because guys are going to want to get to the second contract while still in this current cba. You have career role players signing contracts for 14 -18 million a year , the stars are getting 200 million thanks to this t.v deal.
