nope. not for anywhere near what they get now, which means less money to go around for everyone
I think they will. Cord cutting being mainstream is still pretty new. These are massive companies that move at glacial pace but them and the sports leagues will figure something out. Just too much money not to

if the cable bundle ceases to exist, theres nowhere near enough money to go around where paying 100 mil for a single nfl reg season game to stream it on amazon or whatever is feasible. the money will fall off a cliff. will some be there to be made? sure. nfl making 2 billion for monday night football alone? nope. not even close. espn, and the leagues tv contracts as a whole, are where they are at because folks like my mom who never watches a second of sports subsidizes it. once that leg falls off, it will be a huge ripple effect

So about 5 sport enters anchors were let go, I actually expected 1-2 more names because it seems like they have a lot of anchors

Most let go were their beat writers for ESPN.com

man, on the local sports radio (not ESPN radio), they were basically saying that even with these layoffs, ESPN overpaid so much for NBA/NFL games, that these cuts aren't even a drop in the bucket. like these cuts wouldn't even cover the cost of airing 1 single NFL game, so basically they accomplished nothing but trying to appease the disney shareholders.

:wow:
