man, on the local sports radio (not ESPN radio), they were basically saying that even with these layoffs, ESPN overpaid so much for NBA/NFL games, that these cuts aren't even a drop in the bucket. like these cuts wouldn't even cover the cost of airing 1 single NFL game, so basically they accomplished nothing but trying to appease the disney shareholders.

they pay 100 mil to air every nfl game. i remember reading they lost like 50 mil or something on the raiders/texans mexico game last year to air it. they wont even exist by the turn of the decade once they see those massive checks go out every year and ad revenue and subscriber revenue continues to crater. shyt was just numbers on a spreadsheet until this last year and a half when that nba tv contract actually kicked in, and they saw their business was a ship taking on too much water

Why are nikkas saying it's because of political agendas? People aren't watching tv like that anymore so people are cutting cords or using the internet. Video games sports are huge partly because of that. Espn was the company that made money off cable packaging so if people aren't buying those packages it destroys their scam.
