Y’all are doing too much. Mina is a part of one of their most successful shows. NFL Live is a show they value so they want to keep it going. As a result, her and Spears got rewarded.
Other talents contracts have gotten scrutinized and she isn’t the exception to that.

At least it won’t be another Get Up situation where a contract leak changed the direction of a show and fukked up two people’s careers in the process.

Mina is good. Is she worth $1.7 million a year? Probably not. Was Indiana Jones, Ant-Man 3, that Haunted House bullshyt and every other movie they've released this year worth the budget? Hell no.

Disney has no clue. That's why their stock is in the fukking gutter.

But to keep folks like Kendrick Perkins, Mina Kimes, a washed up Chris Berman, etc etc.......is confusing

A giant black man, a PAAWG and an old Jew who is an ESPN institution. Nothing confusing about it. It's a diverse roster they're assembling :skip:

Mina has put in work at that company. What helps Mina is that she has a personality that lends herself to be able to talk about stuff or appear on stuff outside of sports.

If she didn't know her shyt, we wouldn't care as much. We can't demand better of analysts on TV and then when they get rewarded, complain about that too.

Wasn't complaining, it was a question of whether she was actually worth the price tag. Who else was lookin to poach her?

Mina covers football better than anyone at ESPN not named Tim Legler covers basketball.
:sas2:
That entire show is arguably the best sports shyt on television. The way they dive into the actual GAME. Not the bullshyt, not the social media, not the nonsense. It's pure football love and knowledge on display by her, Orlowsky, Swagu and everyone else. That shyt deserves a standing ovation and Mina's raise is well deserved.

I like Legler too but there's a reason they largely keep him in a broom closet. They've made a decision that the best way to sell basketball is by selling resentment to white men. Hence the nonstop attacks on Bron, the nonstop attacks on the "state of the game," the nonstop obsession over tweets and IG captions, nonstop talk about who wore a bad outfit to a game. It's complete and utter trash.

I don’t think anyone’s raise is ever well-deserved (as in actual numbers) outside of being quantifiable. But I think everyone should always get everything they can because employers will always try to make you think you’re worth less. My point is that we shouldn’t be over scrutinizing what anyone gets paid in any field outside of people at the very top or unless it’s in comparison to coworkers.

They scruntize athlete contracts everyday, their contracts are definitely fair game. I remember Jemele and them having celebrations and jokes when Jeff Fisher and Marvin Lewis got fired but when their friends get fired it’s “private”. No.
