One of these heads said you gotta have a real social media presence to survive out here…

Is their plan really just to pay massive personalities a grip but have basically no one else? I wanted them to do capitulation, but I dunno if this is the best way to go about that

It apparently is.

I think they're about to find out in the worst way that Pat McAfee doesn't have the level of universal appeal they think he does, though.

Van Gundy one of the only entertaining NBA personalities. If I'm being honest I only liked Jalen earlier on, he was wack after getting at Skip because he turned his personality down imo.
Jalen was one of the last former players who got into the media game without any training. He didn't care about going viral, making insane hot takes, etc. Just was a cool dude who added some reality to conversations, whether it was the podcast or on air. Then at some point he completely switched up and because "one of them" like all the other former players acting like complete idiots saying dumb shyt.

Lol they just pay you the full amount
I'm assuming that it will still be the same as the last time around, but they'll pay out the remainder of your contract as long as you don't get a job elsewhere although theirs wiggle room in side projects you can take. It's why you never Jaws for all those years and why Beadle was never in a rush to get a job and doing everything else but working.

I fully understood them getting rid of the part timers that seemed to be on payroll but appeared on air like once or twice a week on a Sportscenter or Get Up drop in. But I'm confused at them getting rid of the mainstays. I think they're trying to get everybody on that Stephen A schedule where they do their own shows and rotate on everybody else's show. It's fukked up optics to pay Pat McAfee all that money and then start cutting so many people like this though. That show better be a runaway hit.
