They can get others to do boxing at a cheaper cost than Max does. They did the same thing with Ariel Helwani.

Nah, they bushed Helwani because Dana told them to. Nearly everyone who covers the UFC on ESPN is directly employed by UFC. :dead:

Think the only ESPN person they give consistent burn outside of big PPV weekends when they do actual SportsCenter on-sites is Brett Okamoto, and even then, you could easily assume he's been bushed too.

His contract was still a factor as one of his replacements does boxing and MMA plus writing and TV appearances and I think they got him for $200,000 which is a lot less than Helwani was looking for.

His contract was a factor because he was a UFC reporter that couldn't be on the same side of a building as Dana White was, IF he could even be in the building.

They were completely fine with paying him to cover MMA as a whole without being on site at most UFC events at his rate of pay until they signed a deal with the UFC.

And unless I'm mistaken, just about everybody who works on UFC broadcasts is on the UFC payroll. Charly Arnolt got bushed by ESPN, she did the "I can finally say what I want" tour, and she was right back on ESPN+ a couple of weekends ago filling the Megan Olivi role. ESPN ain't ask for that. :dead:

Jay williams stinks. Max and key probably safe. Max for boxing.

Get rid of Jay’s longwinded preaching ass. Next time stay off the motorcycle.

Key could remix himself into a Shay replacement and head to FS1. Max better sniff around WFAN and see what’s good now that Carton done leveled up.

When it’s all said and done ESPN got wayyy too many of the same type of ingredients and outside of live sports their content is unwatchable

Sometimes I have a chance to watch tv at that time and go on ESPN, that Kellerman show was the dry and boring. I like all of them individually too.

Nah, she's just working UFC events for Dana, because you know how he gets down. :mjpls:

Someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but part of the reason ESPN is enjoying this UFC deal so much is that it's basically low cost content. UFC is producing the shows themselves with their own talent almost entirely top to bottom, and all ESPN has to do is cut a check. As a result, someone like her is gone from ESPN as an employee, but still back on their air not long after.
