Disney is gonna be running ESPN like them cheap ass baseball franchises like The Marlins.

Billy Simmons (his podcast network is growing like crazy), FS1, and NBC in the cut waiting to snatch folks up. They fukked up by trying to mute all of their on screen personalities (Stuart/Patrick/Olbermann) because they claim they wanted folks to focus on the "product" and replacing them with trolls (Skip/SAS). Trolls have a short shelf life. It's gonna be even more repeats of sportscenter, sportsnation, and PTI AND they're not going to dish out money for games which is gonna lose them even more viewership

they should just cut entire programming. Space out the sportscenter shows, they literally have sportscenter on 24/7. Cut some of the high school shyt out, no one cares.

They'd be fine though if they just didn't get their chain took by the NBA and NFL though. Especially the damn NFL. there were like 2 watchable NFL games on ESPN the entire year.

the crazy thing about them running sportscenter for like 4-5 hour blocks is that they literally have another channel dedicated to running sportscenter 24/7, so it's redundant as hell.

and ESPN news will have different anchors hosting a different sportscenter adjacent to the sportscenter thats airing live on the regular ESPN.

Revenue isn't necessarily profit. ESPN costs A LOT to run after they paid all that money for live rights fees. They basically overpaid for every league to keep them out of competitor's hands trying to play the long game of just waiting long enough for these other networks to die off.

The problem is that ESPN isn't increasing its revenues at the same rate it is increasing its cost.
