even for an EP thats bottom tier stuff... shyt, the big blood Day Sulan fine ass could probably do that and nobody, nobody wants to hear her music

her label will look at her numbers and look at her following and engagement and be disgusted.. they'll be expecting 10K minimum on anything she puts out.

she does great away from the music but the people that handle her music side of things are doing horribly.
from them putting her in artist development only for things to get even worse and when she finally puts out an EP, its a monumental flop

from a clip I seen doing the rounds on twitter months ago when she was rocking the baldy, it doesn't seem she was in a good place personally either
she'll be alright though, shes cute.. just be a socialite or get Guapdad back in the mix to help her with the music

Saweetie needed a thot anthem like FNF after her Quavo break up. Imagine if Saweetie made FNF and Tomorrow instead of Glorilla. It would've kicked off a Rihanna Good Girl Gone Bad redemption arc that would've helped sell her image and created more of a story for her, which she does not have. She failed to build interest for her music because she's not leaning into the controversy that made her relevant in the last year. She's not purely talented enough as an artist to just sell based on music alone. She needs marketing. Vlad is right that his platform would've helped her

she was on the remix to FNF, they shot a video for it and then it got scrapped for some reason
a new remix came out not too long ago with a lineup of women on there and she was absent.

It didn't get any promotion at all, was not added to Spotify/Apple Music playlists, and hasn't been buzzing - aside from when the Only Built For Infinity Links was *first* released.

I have it a listen and its average pop rap from Saweetie, the first track had Drakeo the Ruler which was a treat, but the rest was passable.

Would probably get some radio and club play if the label actually pushed.

I forgot what songs made her famous
Icy Girl, blew my mind when I realized it came out almost 6 years ago.

My Type, Tap In and Best Friend, came out a few years later and maintained her popularity, but she's incredibly inconsistent music-wise.

It didn't get promo bc her shyt made no noise on its own. Outside a few tweets they tried to get viral by her dissing quavo on a song.

Labels still running the same plays. Artists are doing more of the legwork themselves now. They tried to put her on as a personality but she doesnt have the sustained fanbase for that

when I see these manufactured artists with 10M+ followers on social media flopping like this, I instantly know that they must be paying for followers and social media engagement. cuz if u cannot get even 1% of your followers to fukk with your music, then it's clearly all smoke and mirrors.

All 10 million could listened to her album and that would only be 6k in sales. So a good chunk of her followers listened to it.

This is literally not true. If all of her IG fans listened to the music one of the songs would have popped off, and that alone would have gotten her above 15k or more.

Social media followers =/= fans of your music. I'd imagine the vast majority of those people didn't peep the project. Her followers are there to like her pictures. They want to be her - dress like her, talk like her, etc - the music is irrelevant to many of them.
