:ehh: It's starting.... weighed in the high 191s yesterday and today. Feeling that hunger though :to: Def gonna step my veggie game up in a major way.... filling veggies are gonna be the key to survival

Hit heavy bench upper yesterday with reduced accessory volume. Went OK. Gonna try power lower today with just a fraction less than working weight

191.6 this morning, just logging for my sheet. Quick shoulder workout today... really going to try and get my cardio in tonight AND tomorrow since I missed Monday.

Plan for cardio right now is to start with 2 30 minute indoor sessions a week, and then ramp up to 3 45 minute indoor sessions as needed. If I wanna really push towards the end I will ditch my Sunday leg day for an outside ride, which is basically like 2-3 indoor sessions in one... though I will have to see how that affects recovery and heavy leg day

Interesting 24 hours. First of all, rode for 30 mins last night at an average of ~140 BPM; weighed in this morning at 190.6. Considering I was at 193 flat all weekend I'll take that as an endorsement of the plan.

I am feeling it already though, yeech. Brain is a little foggy and the pangs mayne :mjcry: I was at about 1900kcal before the ride.... ride was supposedly 400kcal based on HR and time but I was so hungry after I had like 6 spoonfuls of peanut butter. Still on point for macros but still :lupe: I said I would start a little conservative and taper down as needed.... coming from maintaining on like 2900kcal I think shooting for 2100 net should be enough to start

Already seeing some flatness as well which is pretty depressing.... pump fading fast AF. But we gotta make that sacrifice for the summer. I am just looking forward to that first post cut pump

Weighed in at 190 flat this morning. Kind of a cheater weigh in though, it was right before I broke my fast around 11:30. Seeing more details already though, which is a nice balance to getting flatter. Gonna take that first weekly progress pic some time today, once wifey is out of the garage. Get that consistent lighting. Anyways down damn near 3lbs first week.... pretty good. Probably mostly water and glycogen but I'm sure there's some fat in there. I don't feel too bad either.... getting used to the hunger somewhat. I think trading 50-70g of protein for carbs was the right move too. Lot more flexibility. A Snickers bar has 28g of carbs :smile:

Hit "volume" upper and lower yesterday. Went OK. Highly branched cyclic dextrin is a fukking life saver. Easily worth the 100 or so calories it adds on workout days.

Short answer is a rebound to the low 180s

Long answer.... last cut I went from 198 to 178, and then rebounded to the low 190s for the bulk. This go round I'm a lot leaner + stronger, taking creatine, and taking legs more seriously. So my hope is I won't have to even go that hard, and I can get scary around 175 and slow my rebound a bit. On the flip side though that might mean losses will come off slower since I'm not taking muscle with it. So it will be fun to see what happens.

189.6 this morning.... legit normal weigh in, 3.4 lbs down first week... this shyt is moving faster than a Jennifer Love Hewitt relationship :mindblown: I just remember on my last cut pretty much nothing happened for like the first two weeks. I probably dropped this much weight in the first month :dahell:

Real question is what I'm losing though... I'm sure I will find out tomorrow and Wednesday (power upper and lower days). I'm not even going that strict. Well with the extra carbs at least it doesn't feel like it, I had a healthy helping of Cheez Its and chocolate cookies yesterday. Hungry AF right now though

Bad couple of days :upsetfavre:

Friend had a bday party so we went out for dinner last night. Then today I had Popeyes for dinner :facepalm: Weighed in at 190 flat this morning; closed the feeding window around 5 so hopefully I can keep it closed and hold it down for tomorrow. Gonna try a 35 minute ride tomorrow night.... just keep adding a couple of minutes every ride until I get up to an hour. Hopefully I can just stick with 2 rides a week that way.

Got an impromptu 2 week trip to Europe/Asia at the end of April too so that's gonna throw a wrench in everything :snoop: shyt is off to a rough start. Gonna stay in a deficit through mid April... maybe get more aggressive actually... then take those 2 weeks off and come back at it hard for May. That's still like 10 weeks I think; just have to keep it somewhat disciplined over those 2 weeks and then grind until Memorial Day.

Power bench upper and power lower went well, so far so good.

Back down to 189.6... things seem pretty under control, though this looks like it's gonna be a less productive week.

Did shoulder upper today, went well. Up to 1 45 each side for 3x10 on Smith machine BTN shoulder press. I feel like I'm not quite orienting my shoulders the right way though. I think I'm retracting my shoulders too much

Up to 190.4 this morning :what: I did lapse a little bit.... but I got my cardio in, which was fukking rough. Gonna try and ride tonight as well to make up for all the fukkery this week. I have been over my target the last 3 days :snoop:

Hoping for a whoosh from this cardio. Still holding onto strength, but I can see my legs shrinking already. It is what it is. Fuuuuccckkkk I'm hungry :sadcam:

Weekend/week report

This week was a study in setting yourself up for failure :snoop: Weighed in at 191.4 this morning. Last week I went out for dinner 4x in a row I think, and wifey made some kind of cake I love. I'm out of the country for 2 weeks in 3 weeks... I wanna get down under 185 before I go. Finished all the snacks in the house, gonna try and go clean and strict AF for 6 out of 7 days of the upcoming weeks. Gonna try and up the cardio as well. I get that 3lb a week is unrealistic but I backslid like a motherfukker :martin:

That said, because I was so well fed everything is going great in the gym. Put some more reps up on the biggies. I think for this cut I'm just gonna track bench and squat... everything else is pretty fluid and easy for me to make gains on.

Upper power bench day went OK. Forgot a few things.... headphones were dead (left noise cancelling on), and I left my triceps extension chain at home. Took the opportunity to focus and improvise. 3x6x235 flat BB bench went up with relative ease but it's still very early. I do love that I can feel the stretch and activation in my chest on bench. From the time I had to stop benching to now I can definitely see a difference. Chest looks less like titis and more like a chest. Also did overhead tricep extensions for a change and really emphasized the sssssttttrrreeeetttcchhhh to beat the shyt out of that long head. Felt good. Arms are humming right now.

I feel bad not logging every workout and weigh in but I feel confident enough now in what I'm doing to just kind of wing it. Plus I have this thread... I don't mind going back and reading through shyt to log on a sheet later; shyt's funny and entertaining to read.
