the turn of the millenium was frustrating with all the NFC Championship Ls but one thing about this franchise is that they are always competitive. You'll never see them have more than 2 consecutive bad years. Only a few organizations have been like this over the last couple decades I'd say

Pittsburgh, Baltimore, Philly, NYG (to an extent), Green Bay

Eagles havent had a true dark age period like the Rams, Niners, Cowboys etc. Like we have only had two instances of 3 years without a playoff berth since the 80s. That's madness. Every other time its been one or two down years and back in the mix.

5th in regular season wins behind NE/PIT/GB/BAL and 2nd in playoff wins this century, and virtually every team ahead of us had legendary all-time QBs (Brady, Rodgers) while the best we had (excluding the Hurts tenure) during that stretch is a close but not quite HOF in McNabb and some lightning in a bottle seasons from Foles, Vick and Wentz. Baltimore is the one exception who had worse QBs but even that gap is gone with the success and career Lamar is putting together.

Lurie has maintained an incredibly high standard from Banner/Reid to current day with Howie, and this specific team has his fingerprints all over it. The Fangio scheme they were obsessed with, sticking with Jalen when everyone wanted them to trade for Russ or Watson, sticking with Sirianni when everyone wanted him fired after the collapse - a lot of those calls fall on the owners shoulders and he's been right time and time again.

elliott has put together great seasons yet somehow only has one all pro and one pro bowl. i was shocked to see that last year

it and P gotta be the toughest positions to make the pro bowl since each team only gets one every year
