a vigilante is someone who gets involved with something thats none of their business. that doesnt apply to tracking down your own car because some piece of shyt stole it

A vigilante is someone who takes their idea of justice into their own hands. Which is,but isnt what this guy did. He only tried to hold the thief so the cops could do an investigation. The thief only got a life sentence because he chose to try to shoot the car owner. Had the car owner just pulled up and started firing,it would be an entirely different scenario imo. Because you dont know if the person in the car,has any idea they are in a stolen car. Unless theres a screwdriver in the ignition.

You'd be in jail for carrying a gun without a concealed carry permit.

The family would sue you for wrongful death and argue that you brandished the weapon on a criminal who despite being in the act of a felony was forced to defend himself from an unlawful brandishing of a firearm
i assume anybody in cali is carrying with a permit, without one its pretty much in the air how it would go down

Murder a whole family for what one person did? Doesn't that make you worse than a thief? :dahell:

He is not trying to have the brother and his band of misfits coming back for revenge.
If that means a whole family gotta go to protect mine welp :yeshrug:

I understand :yeshrug:

THUNDER BUDDIES
I HAVE A CUSTOMER BEGGING ME TO TELL HIM WHERE HIS TRUCK IS SO HE CAN GO GET IT BACK. HE IN TEXAS TOO.

I WANT TO TELL HIM BUT I WOULD BE LIABLE FOR WHATEVER HAPPENS. THIS IS WHY WE ONLY GIVE THE INFO TO LAW ENFORCEMENT. SO MANY OF THEM ARE USELESS THOUGH.

Somewhat similar situation. It didn't work out for this guy.

While stolen cars are a problem across Colorado, police do not want people to confront and shoot at would-be thieves. That's what Aurora police say happened last night and now a man is arrested for killing one teenager and hurting -- after police say they tried to steal a car.

My pride and honor is in having a community of family and friends I value way more than a mere car, so much so I'll take the L getting got, to maximize my timeline on earth.

This is no shot at the less fortunate by the way. For some a car is their livelihood. They may not have excellent insurance and savings. They may need that car back right now. Shout out to them. But it's nothing to brag about.

But what you're doing is elevating that suboptimal circumstance (where your best option is to get strapped and go after gun toting carjackers) to some position of honor :laff:

Man, if you feel the need to generate going after thieves with guns, you're not a man of honor. You a victim and I want more for you :mjlol:
Another candidate for worst post of the year. It's not about the car, it's about sending a message.

That's not the moral of the story :heh:

If you don't get your broke asses some comprehensive insurance with a rental car option, and let the police draw guns, instead of playing Yosemite Sam :mjlol:

Now you shot, in the hospital, and liable to being sued for shooting a third party. Missing out on work/family time over a car.

And you think the moral of the story is to go full Raylan Givens, talking about "practice quick draw" :laff:
